Floral rhythm

These flower artworks are inspired by the colour interaction in the paintings of Sonia Delaunay, one of Jules' favourite artists. The spiral shapes in the central parts, made with embroidery and three-dimensional weaving, are ancient shapes that symbolize the growth and development of the universe. The colours, the forms and the textures of these pieces interact to create a sensation of movement, of life itself.
