The sound of silence and softness. Sculptured flowing yarns induce a sense of serenity and calm through the creative use of the artist’s production remnants that once supported the yarns with which the artworks are created. The cone shape as an element that can channel sound waves inspired the name of the collection. Every handcrafted piece of the RUMOURS collection shows woven, tufted and embroidered elements, creating an intriguing, three-dimensional texture with sound-absorbing qualities. The soft textures and minimalist geometric forms capture a serene, almost ethereal quality. The restrained colour palette emphasizes purity and calmness. Hanging this artwork in a home invites a peaceful ambiance, making any space a meditative retreat, encouraging viewers to pause and reflect amidst their busy lives. The high-quality yarns used are personally sourced by artist Jules Vissers at local factories in the area of Florence, Italy. The RUMOURS Collection is also made to order in custom sizes and colours, requests are handled on an individual basis. MATERIALS: Wool, merino wool, cotton and mixed yarns on cloth and cellulose.
