These textile artworks are inspired by some characteristic architectural elements of Palazzo Corsini, an ancient Palazzo with beautiful gardens in the centre of Florence. This site is also the setting of the well-known annual fine craft event Artigianato & Palazzo. For its 30th edition in September 2024, I was asked to participate in the collective exhibition and to propose 3 artworks. The contours of these works refer to the portico of the Palazzo, in the shape of three arches. The interior of the work reflects the architectural composition of the Gardens, here and there half-hidden by the fringes, as if it were an abstract view. The artworks measure each 150 x 75 cm and are handcrafted with wool, merino wool, cotton and mixed yarns, all locally sourced.
