Wings of Change

Textile artpieces that show all kinds of wing forms, created with a variety of techniques such as tufting, weaving, crochet, embroidery and punchneedle. These are very personal projects because wings symbolize freedom and transformation. To me it signifies my personal path as an artist that believes in her abilities and her work's value. As a starting artist it takes courage to propose your work to others, and personally, a few years ago, I found this initial step to be the most difficult part of the process. These wings were already inside me, but I didn't know it, I just needed to try to fly. :-) Materials: pure (lambs)wool and mixed yarns, all from local Florentine factories.
