TECHNIQUE : textile wall artwork, created with handtufting, embroidery, punch needle and passementerie techniques. The work is inspired by characteristic architectural elements present in the city of Venice, such as the bifora and the quatrefoil. Artist Jules Vissers is inspired by Italian Renaissance art and architecture. Experimenting with different types of fibers and yarns, she creates contemporary works of art that stimulate the senses and ignite curiosity.
Materials: (merino) wool, cotton, mixed yarns, felt backing, all from local factories.
