In a collaborative effort with The Visionary Lab, an Amsterdam-based creative agency, I have crafted a textile wall piece and a cushion that draw inspiration from the elegant contours of Sori Yanagi's renowned butterfly stool for Vitra. Named WINGS OF CHANGE, the artwork showcases an organic motif reminiscent of a butterfly, embodying transformation, renewal, and beauty. It stands as an enchanting centerpiece, prompting contemplation on the transformative essence of sustainability. The butterfly stool has been reimagined using recycled denim yarns sourced from Levi's, which are also incorporated into the wall piece. Each strand is intricately interwoven to form a design that captures the fragile splendor and metamorphosis emblematic of the butterfly. These textile creations were unveiled alongside the celebrated stool at Masterly - The Dutch in Milano, an official Fuorisalone event, during the Milan Design Week 2024 at Palazzo Giureconsulti.
