WORK SELECTED FOR TAMARA ART EXHIBIT AND CHIANCIANO BIENNIAL SIZE: 120 X 100 CM (PLUS FRAME) TECHNIQUE: HANDTUFTED TAPESTRY NUMBERED ARTWORK 13-2022 The tapestry 'Female Figure' was created in April 2022 for the Tamara Art Exhibition in Venice, which took place from 28 May until 6 June at the Palace Scuola Grande San Teodoro. It is inspired by the art of the artdeco painter Tamara de Lempicka whose female figures are very strong and sensual at the same time. This tapestry won the second price of the Tamara Art Award, which was conferred by Marisa de Lempicka of the Tamara de Lempicka Estate. After the art exhibition in Venice this tapestry was selected by the curators of the Chianciano Art Biennial to be exhibited in the historic centre of Chianciano Terme from 6 till 28 August 2022. On this occasion the work has received the International Art Critics Award.
