SIZE 140 X 120 CM (PLUS FRAME) TECHNIQUE: HANDTUFTED AND EMBROIDERED TAPESTRY NUMBERED ARTWORK 44-2021. Motherhood is a precious gift but it is also a path filled with challenges. On the one hand, today the decision to become a mother has passed from an inescapable destiny of the past, where the generative capacity represented the essence of femininity, as well as the only way to feminine realization, to a desiring project. On the other hand, it leads the woman to have to learn to juggle the different roles with consequent new difficulties. While the composition of the work itself, of an almost symmetrical type, and the colours used, imply the serenity and preciousness of the moment, the thin line, which cuts the woman in two, refers to the emotional difficulties related to motherhood. The artist manages to create this line in a subtle way, by using yarns of the same colour, but by changing both the type of knot and the length of the yarns used.
