Pine tree family

Tapestry hand-tufted on canvas, with New Zealand wool and fine Italian local yarns.  Numbered artwork 21/2022 and signed by the artist on the backside label. Wooden frame, painted black. The tapestry 'Family of Pine trees' was made by the artist on the basis of the pictures taken during her frequent walks around Florence. The pine tree, so characteristic for this area, are among the trees she most admires for the wonderful forms of their branches and tops. It's a delicate tree that suffers from the recent climate changes and whose numbers are decreasing.
