A Wing for Life

I created this textile artpiece with a variety of techniques such as tufting, weaving, crochet, embroidery and punchneedle. It's a very personal project because this wing symbolizes my transformation into an artist that believes in her abilities and her work's value. As an artist it takes courage to propose your work to others, and personally I found this step to be the most difficult part of the process. This wing was already inside me, but I didn't know it, I just needed to try to fly. Size: 160 x 65 cm, materials: pure (lambs)wool and mixed yarns, all from local Florentine factories.
