Dark Wave

HANDTUFTED AND EMBROIDERED TAPESTRY 80 X 80 CM, FRAMED 95 X 95 CM, ARTWORK 10/2022. This abstract tapestry is part of my organic wave design series that are inspired by the forms of waves and swirls in the sea water. The use of dark colours with lots of black, dark blue and golden yellow makes it a bit mysterious. It has been tufted and embroidered on canvas by hand adopting many different heights, using New Zealand wool and local Italian fine yarns. It has a handmade wooden frame painted black.
