Deconstruction
SIZE: 150 X 100 CM (+ FRAME), TECHNIQUE: HANDTUFTED AND EMBROIDERED TAPESTRY, NUMBERED ARTWORK 46-2021. The artwork ‘deconstruction’ denotes the initial process when an organized, regular structure starts to change and develops into an irregular and chaotic state. The artwork is a kind of maze with secret and hidden colours. The longer threads keep some of the supercoloured paths almost hidden to the eye. The artwork shows mostly unsaturated colours while the hidden colours are saturated ones. The work is about the human tendency to want to order our lives without ever truly controlling what happens. We’re just minuscule beings in a vast universe.
