Deconstruction in Blue

WORK SELECTED FOR MASTERLY – FUORISALONE – MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2022, SIZE: 150 X 100 CM (+ FRAME), TECHNIQUE: HANDTUFTED AND EMBROIDERED TAPESTRY, NUMBERED ARTWORK 14-2022. Deconstruction in Blue is about the change from an organized, regular structure to an irregular and chaotic state. The artwork is a kind of maze with secret and hidden colours in shades of blue or similar colours. The longer threads keep some of the paths coloured with different shades of blue almost hidden to the eye. The work is about the human tendency to want to order our lives without ever truly controlling what happens. We’re just minuscule beings in a vast universe.
